When I saw the “Audrey” dress at Tuckernuck, I immediately fell in love with how classic it is. Between the collar, tea length, flowy fabric and pink stripes, I knew this would be perfect to bring to Asheville for one of our date nights.
When it comes to clothes with feminine, romantic details, I easily swoon. I love ruffles, bows, eyelet patterns, lace, tulle, flutter and bell sleeves, and floral prints to name a few of my favorite frills. Add a blush pink tone and I’m sold! I am currently eyeing this pink Rebecca Taylor top at Tuckernuck, this pink button down shirt from ASOS, and this pink Boutique Moschino bow dress on sale. Robert and I stayed at the beautiful Inn on Biltmore Estate. Situated in the mountains, the views surrounding the hotel are stunning and the grounds are incredible. Staying at the Inn, we had access to shuttle that took us all around the 8,000 acre estate to shops in the little village, the winery, restaurants, and the gorgeous Biltmore House. In a previous post, I talked about our tour around the Biltmore House and Gardens which was insanely gorgeous.
Starting in February 2018, the Biltmore House will have an exhibit of costumes from the movie Titantic (more information here). One of Edith Vanderbilt’s character costumes was displayed in the lobby of the Inn and it had the most gorgeous fine beading and details. I wish I could have tried it on.. I mean look at that hat!
For our date night, we went to Posana Restaurant in downtown Asheville and had one of the best meals we have had in a while! The food is so fresh and the menu is seasonal (everything is gluten-free too). If you get the mussels, get some extra bread to dip in the most delicious sauce!
