Marigold has been popping up everywhere this fall and not just in the leaves. This golden hue has been trending all season and being fair and blonde, I wasn’t sure how this color would work on me. I decided to try it out with this inexpensive sweater from H&M (it’s under $30) and I fell in love! It is the perfect color to add to my fall wardrobe and it is surprisingly versatile. Below you will find 4 ways to wear Marigold this season pairing it with: red, green, black + houndstooth and my favorite fall color, burgundy.
I love adding a pop of bright red to spice up simple outfit. Wearing this golden hue with red is unexpected and fun and this color combo has been my favorite to wear so far this season. I have been wearing my marigold sweater with my favorite bow mules and some fun, red earrings, and topping it off with simple tortoiseshell sunglasses to balance it all out.
This houndstooth mini skirt screams feminine fall – from the ruffles at the bottom to the hints of gold in the pattern, it is perfect to pair with a marigold sweater. Balance it out with black by adding over-the-knee boots, a cute beret, and a black bag, and you’re set!
Burgundy is my favorite color to wear for fall (last seen here). You see so many trees with golden and dark red leaves this time of year, so naturally, putting them together gives you a complete fall look. Wearing cropped jeans, add some burgundy booties, a cute bag, and some pink sunnies and you’re ready to hit the day looking fabulous.
Yellow and green doesn’t typically sound like the best color combo, but wearing marigold with the right hue of green can be a cute and and classic look. Pairing this sweater with a hunter green pant, you can balance it out with a scarf and some camel accessories like these ballet flats and a saddle bag to complete your look.
